TAAN TV on Three Platforms

by Laura Thompson

In 1995, I had the vision to create a platform that would allow people to watch television via the Internet, so I registered "theafricanamericannetwork". I kept the name for all these years and I'm glad I did.

Since the idea popped into my head years ago, the Internet added more extensions, so four years ago, I registered www.taan.tv (which stands for the African American Network).  It is spelled TAAN, but pronounced "tan" like the color. We are super excited about the opportunity to provide viewers with content that they can relate to and opportunities for content providers to get their stories on the big screen.
We have a unique opportunity to provide a platform for videographers, photographers, makeup artists, directors, producers and more to give create input on film and television projects across the country.

We are proud to announce that we have signed with an entity to produce and air a new Lifestyle Show entitled "The House that Royal T Built" and we are in the process of producing two house shows "When I Grow Up" & a animated cartoon show all utilizing talent out of San Antonio, Texas.

Bear in mind that TAAN TV is a national television network and you will be able to view us all over the country, so we are always looking for story ideas, show ideas, producers, and more to join in the fun to help build and join in this national conversation.

Check us out at www.taan.tv and let us know what you think and what you would like to see.  Look forward to serving you.
