My Take On Donald Sterling and Racism

After much thought about the Donald Sterling incident, I am deeply saddened by the world that we have crafted and the cycle of discrimination that we have allowed to go on century after century.  We act like children towards each other.  Publicly we teach our kids to play fair, share with others, be respectful towards each other, don't fight, don't call each other names, apologize, forgive...and the list goes on.

But behind closed doors, we practice open discrimination and racism and our kids watch us do it.  And where our children initially come into the world untainted by our closed minded practices, the longer they live with us, the more indoctrinated they become.  Their beliefs and their feelings do not match.  And yet we wonder why they are self destructing out in a world that's ready to aim and fire...for God knows what reasons.

We've really made this world so off balance with our made up stories and labeling perfectly good people, as people that are stupid and irresponsible.  People become whatever they believe they are...and some people believe they are bad or others are bad because of what we've been taught.

Money doesn't make us better people...it gives us the ability to buy more stuff and control more stuff...but we're no better because of it.  Now I don't have anything against money, but I do have a problem with people using it to destroy people and destroy our children.

It's unfortunate that Sterling is in his 80's and has used his money and power to make people feel bad.  Just because you own something, doesn't give you the right to insult people sir...instead of Black people not being wanted at your games...by you, guess who's not going to be allowed at their own game?
