Change is Coming...

I haven't written anything in about a month, but today made me think of so many things and if we rewind the tape, we can clearly see that today's events, January 6, 2021, was a clear indication that the transfer of wealth and power have been threatened by those who have gotten comfortable in their positions of power and do not want to let go.

We've all heard of unfinished business.  Well there is a force greater than all of us that reminds us that when enough is enough that force will set in and finish unscrupulous business abruptly.

The greater power, the almighty will only let us go so far before he intervenes.  Today for most was a disastrous day, but for me it was a day of reckoning, a day of redirecting, a day of exposure, a day of victory, a day of truth, a day of protest.  A day that defines what America is made of.

A day of reckoning for America shows how all of us have varying opinions of whats right and wrong.  We operate from different value systems and beliefs.  We just finished a highly contested election where there were two victors and two that were defeated.  Our views and preferences of leadership have been divided down the middle and the country is in a position where we going to have to learn to be a United States of America again, but some players have lived a lifetime of privilege and underprivilege, so it's going to be a difficult road ahead.  Half of the nation wanted a more radical leadership and half wanted a more civil acting form of leadership for the country. We're just at the beginning of this new era of change.

A day of redirecting shows that our system is not perfect.  A lot of things have changed.  The face of America has changed and is coming forth. So this is the crossroads of America.  The land of the free, the home of the brave, the all men are created equal has been questioned and challenged. This country belongs to all Americans.  We all contribute to this country in one way or another and we all have certain unalienable rights. Everyone wants to run to the constitution to prove a point, but the basic rights, in the constitution that all Americans are entitled to,  are often overlooked.  So we have to be redirected to ensure that there is actually liberty and justice for all.

It was a day of exposure.  The top leaders of our country had to eat their venomous words and look to the constitution to cover up the already overt behavior that has plagued our country for centuries.  Our greater power has publicly brought them to their knees today for all to witness.  Although, I do not agree with why the nation's capital was invaded today, I don't have a real problem with it because there was a great disruption of the norm where drastic measures were taken to fight for something they believe in.  They exposed the ugliness that has been tearing away at the fabric of America for centuries. A change will surely come, after today, whether it's voluntary change or forced change.

Then there was a day of victory!  The Senate has had a stronghold for many years, but today all of that changed.  Two newly elected Senators from Georgia were elected today in a runoff that will help provide a different perspective on how decisions are made and how we're governed. To some it is believed that the Republicans have blocked opportunities to better serve American citizens and for some they don't believe that the Democrats should control the reigns of decision making for the American people.  Well the outcome remains to be seen.  Hopefully the outcome of this election will prove to be beneficial to the American people.  So where today was a victory for some, it was not so victorious for others.  And depending on how you view things, the invasion of the nation's capital was a victory to those that believed in their causes.  It was risky, bold and maybe someday it might have been just what America needed to nudge those that have been sleeping and comfortable for so many years.

The day of truth has shown the true colors of America and how there is a that force that I mentioned earlier that will pull the sheets off and uncover the ugly sores and secrets that have infested our nation, our beliefs and our devotion for this country.  Truth is an uncomfortable place for many of us.  And there is a very distinct difference between truth and what we all believe.  Truth is still revealing itself.  It does not yet appear what will be revealed next.

A day of protest.  Protests are linked to what we believe.  We all have different views on what America should look like in modern days.  There are millions of beliefs floating around out there that define how we should be treated and who should get what.  Well guess what?  There is a greater force that is constantly at work redefining what we will look like next.  There is a divine power greater than us and within all of us.  The truth of the matter is that protesting is a good thing, but can yield bad results if done for the wrong reasons and yield fruit and fairness if done for the right reasons.  That divine power that I continue to speak of is at work deciding the outcome of our fight.  Whether we're fighting the good fight or the bad fight.

This is the day that defines America.  A day where we are at the crossroads.  A day where everything that we believed about America is being questioned and challenged.  God Bless America.
